About

Older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) may exhibit dementia and clinical symptoms that are distinct to this group. This can lead to misconceptions that make it challenging to recognize cognitive decline in adults with IDD. Training direct support professionals (DSPs) with the skills to identify the unique characteristics of regressive illnesses is crucial for effectively supporting the IDD population.

Join us  May 30 at 2 PM ET to hear Christina Marsack-Topolewski, PhD, talk about the regressive characteristics that may occur in older adults with IDD.

By attending this webinar, you'll learn about:

  • Signs of regression in adults with IDD
  • Types of dementia
  • Trends and prevalence of dementia in IDD

If you cannot attend the live webinar, we still encourage you to register, as all registrants will receive an email with a link to the recording and resources.
