About

Many juveniles involved in the justice system have experienced trauma, such as physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or violence in their communities. This trauma can have a profound impact on their mental health, leading to conditions such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, or substance abuse.

Join us May 21 at 2 PM ET to hear Laura S. Toptine, LCMHC, discuss the growing importance of addressing mental health and trauma in the juvenile justice system.

By attending this webinar, you’ll learn about:

  • The prevalence of mental health issues among youth in the juvenile justice system
  • Trauma among individuals in the juvenile justice system
  • How the justice system can better support youth with mental health needs

If you cannot attend the live webinar, we still encourage you to register, as all registrants will receive an email with a link to the recording and resources.
